uhhh i'm 20, and my hobbies include gaming, drawing, occasional html coding, and not exactly knowing what "graphic design" means

Hey all, I'm Dan! I'm a UX writer and designer living in Seattle. I'm big into PS2 horror games, 3D printing, Gundam kits, and all things Wii. I joined because this seems like a great way to keep in contact with the Famicase regulars without needing to visit the cursed bird app. Forum culture was definitely before my time but I'm looking to change that with Famiclub

My favorite piece of VG graphic design is probably the Wii Sports title screen.

Thank you friend!! It was a really great design exercise, I'd never felt so inspired looking at a Lego sticker sheet before but for some reason this one got my creative juices going. I have a couple other decal projects that I've been working on for a while so hopefully I'll have some more to share soon

And I know what you mean, Wii-era music hits me right in the nostalgia like few things can. That main theme transports me straight back to 2007.

Thanks!! I can't take credit for the original panel designs but the process of reproducing them helped me get a sense for the style and made me confident enough to create more original designs

Hiya, Adam here. I make games for the AGBIC game jam every once in a while; I came here through the discord for that.

One bit of game graphic design I like is the pause screen in "The Witness". Apparently they spent a good amount of dev time to recreate the effect of what your eyelids look like right after you close them, in the sense that you see an after-image of whatever you were looking at. (Example vid I found online:

The Witness thing is neat. I don't think I'd ever noticed that! That said, I didn't make it very far into the game.
