Both of us here have broke out AC: New Horizons again with the recent hotel update. Playin' quiet-like, doing the daily tasks, finally getting some decorating and such around our islands. After all these years I *finally* found and invited Gaston to take up a residence; miserable old French bunny, dear to my heart.

Partner also dug out and got back into Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth-- it has a cool soundtrack as I've listened along from the other room, and even though they first played it on PS4 its whole visual design clicked into place when we discovered it was originally announced as a Vita title as early as 2013. Check out that UI ^_^
My wife and I also started up AC: New Horizons again! Some friends of ours have picked it up for the first time and it rekindled our love a bit, so we're back in the island life, cleaning up weeds and checking out all of the new stuff. It's been fun!
I also started playing The Finals. It's weird, but I kinda like it!

It's still so peaceful. We're afflicted with a fatal case of "Not one more cent for Nintendo!" otherwise I'd ask for a dream address ahh but I do be missing all the amazing custom patterns and comradery from that earlier mass gaming moment :*)
We just finished Sons of the Forest tonight. A real 7/10 game. Some cool monsters and vibes and solid survival/building mechanics. But lots of real weird jank and a kinda bad story. But, uh, I'd kinda recommend it, lol.
Also, I just grabbed the Typing of the Dead, which is currently on sale on Steam. I've always thought that was a real silly/charming idea for a spinoff. Excited to dip into that this weekend.
EDIT: I am just now realizing that it is actually Typing of the Dead: Overkill and it's way more teen-boy-coded that I could have imagined, lol.
We finally found some affordable used pro controllers for the Switch and good night they're so much better than the always-slowly-failing joycons. Partner has been fighting drift issues with the last few pairs and they have this new controller for one day and they're pumped to play games again, already picked back up Boyfriend Dungeon and nearly have it beat
Random: for anyone passing through here, do you recall a game where, I *think* it was a character selection screen, and when you pick this one guy he goes "Hey while we're young!" in an impatient way? I can hear it and it feels obvious, but can't place it
In a very surprising development, a PS5 has appeared in the household. What should we check out?? Haven't looked even once at what's been happening on the console---holy smokes it's been out for over five years already :O
UPDATE: I finished my first playthrough of Requiem and it's excellent. My favorite of this new era, by quite a bit. Kinda shocked by how well almost everything worked for me. They did it!
After several years without, re-acquired a working N64 unit from a flea market. Don't think they realized it also had an expansion pak tucked away in there :3

Seeing some gameplay along with some of the mods folks are already using it looks like a bucket o' fun!
