Let's talk fonts and typfaces!

Do you have any go-to sites or foundries when you're looking for something new?

A couple that I've been visiting lately have been:

• Velvetyne - a French free and open source type foundry with some weird and wonderful stuff.
• Fontshare - more standard, 'professional' display fonts, free for commercial use.

and a question (mostly for Windows users) - do you use a font management program? This is a frequent frustration of mine. I have a lot of font files left over from old projects and workplaces, but haven't found a font manager that I love that makes browsing through them an easy task. I've tried Fontbase before, but found it to be a bit cumbersome (and didn't really want to pay ongoing for their subscription service).

AND feel free to share typefaces that you've created yourself, or some personal favourites or go-tos as well!

Future Fonts and Kern Club are very cool. Mostly premium/paid stuff. Fenotype is all free, I believe, and has been around since the late 90s. (A great resource for Y2K-ish stuff.) Generative Fonts is also a free resource and makes procedurally generated font alterations. A neat idea, but I've only used them for inspiration.

It goes without saying, but I love Dafont.com. (Somewhat controversial in certain design circles, apparently?)

I use Mac and would honestly be interested in a better solution than the default Font Book.

In some rare typography / video game crossover news, I saw that Obsidian recently released all of the typefaces from Pentiment as part of their fankit (which also contains a bunch of cool art and stuff). They're free to use for non-commercial use.

You can download it here.

Looking for some good psychedelic fonts that can be used as display type. Stuff like Roberta or Arnold Boecklin. Something that would be used in a late-80s/early-90s arcade game, on an old Electro-Harmonix pedal from the 70s, or like, a doom metal band from the 00s. Any suggestions?

Have you checked out FontsInUse.com? Found some real cool stuff there by searching "fantasy." My initial favorites:
