@andrewelmore Sure thing, next time I'm downtown I'll run by there and pick it up if they still have it.
Thank you so much!!
I have acquired the item! Ha, the owner said it'd sat on that shelf for literal years, but in keeping with his general approach to albums and other items, "I knew if I kept it long enough someone would eventually want it." Shoot me a DM when you can and we can settle / tell me how you want it mailed out
haha Bad Game Hall of Fame featured this terrible Doom port on the anniversary of its release, but it also includes a big conversation with Interplay co-founder Rebecca Heineman who was brought in to try and salvage the thing

Dude, Becky is amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing. Definitely recommend John's video on all the DOOM ports if you're curious, but this section on the 3DO port is particularly, uh, illuminating. Haha.
With the Becky interview, I like how she says in response to all the negative reviews of the time "I agree!", but she notes hpw out of all those reviews not one mentions the game crashing or buggy, lol she is proud of just making the damn thing work at all in that environment.
She also reframes things nicely regarding the average pc spec at the time. When Doom launched, avg consumer build was lucky to get 15fps out of it (386 running between 25-33Mhz was mentioned), so her getting an even playable framerate out of a 12.5Mhz ARM on 3DO was a miracle.

Sincerely. Her other work on the 3DO is _magnificent_.
