Anybody been playing that UFO 50? Now this is a Famiclub-ass Video Game.
If you haven't seen it, it's a collection of retro-inspired games from a 'fictional' console released between 1982 and 1989
If you've been playing, what are some of your favourite games so far?
I haven't picked it up yet, but have just been watching Jeff Gerstmann's playthrough and have been super impressed by the creativity of the games, and how coherent they are within the design concept of the UFO console.
That said, I feel that some of the games are a bit advanced for the years that they supposedly released in. But hey they also gotta make the games fun to play today.
I'm also a bit hesitant to play through these because there are still so many actual old games from that time that I've never played lol.

Wishlisted it! So up my alley it hurts. Jeez this past decade has just been a tidal wave of "retro" reimaginings and I could not be more pleased.
Lol and I'm very ok without 1:1 fidelity to the era -- (like a soundtrack that won't blink out because it's sharing a channel with sound effects or something something) Very glad modern design is using the era as a building block

Saw several mentions of this on Cohost but had no idea what kind of game it was. Now I'm interested, lol.

Mortol is so cool.
What an interesting way to play with the concept of 'an extra guy' in a retro game. Lemmings-tier sacrifice for the greater good.
