Winterk posted about this 1994/95 platform fighter I'd never seen, describing it as "plays like smash bros before smash bros". Has anyone heard of or played it?? If it was among the first of its kind it looks pretty inventive!

Yeah! It was a big influence on Hyper Gunsport, a fantastic Necrosoft game I did a some playtesting on a while back.

It's such a neat implementation with that sprite action, and what seems like a really sensitive relative zoom function based on opponent distance. And here I was thinking Power Stone was the source of some stuff yet here they are years earlier hopping into working environmental gun turrets and such lol
